Fecal occult blood test kits are important for early detection in patients who are at risk for colorectal disorders. As with many things, the pharmacist plays an importatnt role in passing along information to the patient about how to use the kits, how to read the results, and what to do if the test is positive. To insure that they are used properly, it is a good idea to either have the kits in the pharmacy, or displayed near by.
